Episode 21:38 - Ten Lessons Learned About COVID, And People, After Driving 3,000 Miles
If you are a regular listener to this podcast, you know that I, Dr. George Burroughs, grew up in New York City and still have family in the area… most notably my Mom.
Typically, I try to get up there twice per year to visit but haven’t been able to since BEFORE this pandemic began in early 2020.
That changed last week.
I decided to take some time off from work so I could visit my Mom.
I also decided that I was going to DRIVE (from Alabama) instead of fly.
Needless to say, the trip was long but it was also quite rewarding as I learned a lot about people, places and things.
Most of what I learned was extremely “positive”, which, to be honest, surprised me.
Of course, there were some “negative” lessons as well.
Overall, I came up with TEN lessons… lessons that I wanted to share with you:
1) Connecting dots
2) The road less travelled
3) Opportunity knocks
4) Cities have personalities
5) Never forget
6) Silver and Gold
7) Nightmares
8) “You Better Stop”
9) My prediction
10) Finding your new home
Each lesson is short and, if you listen to all ten, I’m sure you’ll find several of them to be quite interesting.
Give this episode a good listen as there is truly “something for everyone.”
Then, please be kind enough to share it with a friend.
