Episode 21:8 – Questions, And Answers, About The Vaccine

On this episode of the Get Healthy Alabama podcast we (Dr. George Burroughs and BetyLou Pierce) go over 15 questions everyone should ask - and know the answer to - before deciding on whether or not to get the Covid-19 vaccine.

(May take a few seconds to begin playing)

Episode 21:8 - Questions, and Answers, About the Vaccine

There is so much about the Covid-19 vaccine that raises questions.

Perhaps the three most important ones are:

1) Is it safe?

2) Is it effective?

3) Does it prevent the virus from being transmitted (spread)?

On this episode we explore those questions… along with a dozen more.

Here they are:

DID YOU KNOW…

 - There has never been an effective vaccine for ANY of the 6 previous Coronaviruses?

- It typically takes 5-10 years to develop a new vaccine… not 8 months?

- The Covid-19 vaccine has NOT been FDA approved?

- The Covid-19 vaccine contains technology that has NEVER been approved for use in humans?

- 33% of Covid-19 deaths have been in individuals over the age of 85?

- NOT one person over the age of 85 was included in the Pfizer vaccine trials?

- NOT one woman under the age of 40 was allowed in the Pfizer vaccine trials unless she was on birth control?

- Vaccine manufacturers CANNOT be sued or held liable for ANY injuries or damages incurred from the vaccine?

- Over 99% of individuals who have had Covid have survived?

- Covid cases are down by 77% since Christmas?

- It is virtually impossible for a person under the age of 40 to die from Covid-19?

- There are some people who may want to “consider” getting the vaccine?

Episode 21:7 – The Power of Fasting… and Intermittent Fasting

On this episode of the Get Healthy Alabama podcast we (Dr. George Burroughs and BetyLou Pierce) discuss the power of Fasting, and Intermittent Fasting.

(May take a few seconds to begin playing)

Episode 21:7 - The Power of Fasting... and Intermittent Fasting

For years, doctors and health experts avoided the topic of Fasting.

In fact, many thought it was unhealthy.

Fortunately, times have changed and the many benefits of Fasting have been brought to light.

For example, studies now show that Fasting appears to…

1) Lower High Blood Sugar Levels
2) Aid in Weight Loss
3) Reduce Inflammation
4) Improve Blood Pressure
5) Lower High Cholesterol Levels
6) Lower High Triglyceride Levels
7) Boost Brain Function
8) Prevent Neurodegenerative Disorders
9) Increase Growth Hormone
10) Extend Lifespan
11) Prevent Cancer
12) Improve Chemotherapy’s Effectiveness

Makes you wonder why everyone isn’t Fasting?

Or, at least, why aren’t we being told more about it?

One reason is because there is no money to be made from Fasting.

Think about it…

When you Fast, you are NOT buying a food, a drug, or a supplement.

That is, there is nothing for companies to profit from when you Fast.

As a result, you won’t see any commercials or ads promoting it.

Fortunately, we’re not like everyone else.

We’re going to talk about Fasting because it’s a great way to Get Healthy.

It’s also a great way to lower your blood sugar… which is a topic we’ve been talking about in our recent episodes.

Give this episode a good listen as you will learn HOW Fasting works and why it’s so good for you.

You’ll also learn about different types of Fasts, including the very popular Intermittent Fasting.

As always, after listening, please share this episode with a friend.

Thanks!

Episode 21:6 – Supplements For Lowering Blood Sugar Levels

On this episode of the Get Healthy Alabama podcast we (Dr. George Burroughs and BetyLou Pierce) discuss nutritional supplements that may help lower your blood sugar levels.

(May take a few seconds to begin playing)

Episode 21:6 - Supplements For Lowering Blood Sugar Levels

On the past few episodes of the podcast, we have been discussing the damaging effects of high blood sugar levels.

Obesity, Type 2 Diabetes and Insulin Resistance are just a few of the conditions we mentioned.

Other problems include Cancer, Alzheimer’s, Heart Disease, Stroke, Kidney Disease, Blindness, Peripheral Neuropathy, Liver Disease, Enlarged Prostate, and PCOS.

Needless to say, no one wants to suffer with any of these conditions.

No one wants to have high blood sugar levels.

Fortunately, it is possible to reverse high blood sugar levels naturally, without the use of drugs.

How?

One approach is to incorporate the four strategies we covered on last week’s episode:

1) Eat less food

2) Eat less often

3) Drink only water

4) Exercise

On this week’s episode, we add something to the mix… something that will work WITH those four strategies to make them even more effective:

Supplements!

Specifically, we talk about four natural, whole-food supplements that can be used to try to lower blood sugar levels naturally.

What are they?

You have to listen to the podcast to find out.

You also have to listen to find out why the number one drug recommended by medical doctors for dealing with high blood sugar levels does nothing to address the cause.

Nor is it as safe as the supplements we discuss.

Get out your pen and paper as you listen and, if you’re interested in ordering any of the supplements mentioned, you can do so by going to:

Episode 21:5 – How To Lower Your Blood Sugar… Without Drugs

On this episode of the Get Healthy Alabama podcast we (Dr. George Burroughs and BetyLou Pierce) discuss four natural ways to lower your blood sugar levels.

(May take a few seconds to begin playing)

Episode 21:5 - How To Lower Your Blood Sugar Levels… Without Drugs

If there was a simple test that could tell if you were at an increased risk for developing…

Obesity

Type 2 Diabetes

Insulin Resistance

Cancer

Alzheimer’s

Heart Disease

Stroke

Kidney Disease

Blindness

Peripheral Neuropathy

Liver Disease

BPH (men)

PCOS (women)

Would you be interested in taking it?

Of course you would!

Well, that test exists… and it’s an easy “finger prick” test that can be done at home or in your doctor’s office.

It also was the topic of last week’s podcast (Episode 21:4 - The ONE Number Everyone Should Know)

Good News!!!

On this week’s episode we show you WHAT to do if your results from that test are too high.

That is, we discuss HOW to lower your A1C number naturally… without the use of drugs.

This information is incredibly timely as over 100 million Americans now have high blood sugar levels.

And, believe it or not, the majority of them don’t even know it!

Furthermore, this epidemic is setting our country up for a health care crisis of unprecedented proportions.

That is, as more and more people develop the diseases listed above, the COST inflicted upon society will be overwhelming.

DON’T allow yourself to be part of the problem.

Take control of your health NOW.

Start by finding out what your A1C number is.

Then listen to this episode to learn HOW to lower your blood sugar levels NATURALLY… without the use of drugs.

It CAN be done.

Let us show you how 🙂

Episode 21:4 – The ONE Number Everyone Should Know

On this episode of the Get Healthy Alabama podcast we (Dr. George Burroughs and BetyLou Pierce) discuss the ONE number everyone should know.

(May take a few seconds to begin playing)

Episode 21:4 - The ONE Number Everyone Should Know

You probably know how much you weigh.

You may even know your blood pressure… and perhaps your cholesterol level.

But do you know your A1C level?

If not, you should.

Here’s why:

While there is no ONE number that can tell the whole story regarding your health, your A1C level paints a pretty good picture.

Why?

Because a high A1C level is linked to many of the top “killer” diseases in our society today.

Obesity, Cancer, Heart Disease, Alzheimer’s, Type 2 Diabetes and Kidney Disease are just a few of the conditions strongly linked to a high A1C number.

On this episode we take a look at how to find out your A1C score.

More importantly, we explain WHAT an A1C score is, WHY it is so important and HOW it gets to a “high” level.

This is information that EVERYONE will be talking about in a few years.

Why wait?

Learn all you can NOW regarding the incredible importance of knowing your A1C level.

It’s a big step towards “Getting Healthy.”

Episode 21:3 – The Incredible Link Between Cancer, Alzheimer’s, Diabetes and Heart Disease

On this episode of the Get Healthy Alabama podcast we (Dr. George Burroughs and BetyLou Pierce) discuss the one health condition that serves as an incredible link between Cancer, Alzheimer’s, Diabetes and Heart Disease.

(May take a few seconds to begin playing)

Episode 21:3 - The Incredible Link Between Cancer, Alzheimer's, Diabetes and Heart Disease

There’s no doubt you know how devastating the diseases Cancer, Alzheimer’s, Diabetes and Heart Disease are.

How, each year, they are responsible for millions of deaths around the world.

But did you know that there is ONE condition that connects them all?

A condition that YOU can control!

A condition that is primarily caused by the foods you eat.

A condition that can result in a “non-alcoholic” form of liver disease.

A condition that causes obesity.

A condition that you, or someone you know, is affected by.

A condition called Insulin Resistance.

On this episode we explain how Insulin Resistance develops and the various diseases it can cause or significantly contribute to.

We also discuss the initial signs and symptoms of Insulin Resistance (ever hear of Skin Tags?) so that you can be aware of its existence BEFORE it does any serious damage.

Please give this episode a good listen as it may very well help save your life… or the life of a loved one.

Episode 21:2 – Insulin Resistance: What You Need To Know… And Why

On this episode of the Get Healthy Alabama podcast we (Dr. George Burroughs and BetyLou Pierce) discuss the ONE health problem that may be the cause of many other health problems.

(May take a few seconds to begin playing)

Episode 21:2 - Insulin Resistance: What You Need To Know... And Why

If you enrolled in a Nutrition class, what would you expect to learn?

Facts about vitamins, minerals, protein, fat and carbohydrates?

Absolutely.

How to heal with herbs?

No doubt.

What you may not expect to learn is “How the Fuel System of the body works.”

And, that’s a shame because how the body fuels itself is of vital importance.

Something you NEED to know.

Yet it’s seldom taught… even though it’s not difficult to understand.

You see, your body’s Fuel System provides fuel, or “energy”, to every cell, muscle and organ of the body so they can perform the functions for which they were designed.

HOW the Fuel System does this is as follows:

1) The food you eat provides your body with fuel.

2) The cells, muscles and organs take, and use, the fuel they need.

3) Any “excess” fuel is either stored in the liver or turned into fat.

This process works great… until something goes wrong.

And, believe it or not, something goes wrong for millions of us.

Not with the Fuel System itself, but with how much we ask of it.

We “flood it” with too much fuel… especially from starches and sugars.

As a result, we develop "Insulin Resistance"... which can lead to the development of some bad things.

Things like obesity, diabetes, heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s… and increased chance of dying from the Coronavirus.

(Yes, an overworked Fuel System can increase your chances of dying from the Coronavirus!)

But that’s not all.

In our opinion, many other health problems are either caused or significantly affected by an overworked Fuel System… especially those problems that aren’t responding to any type of treatment.

There is, however, some good news:

The damage done by an overworked Fuel System system can be corrected!

People CAN reverse these Fuel System problems.

Conditions can be cured!

Not by some “miracle” drug or pill but by LEARNING how the Fuel System was designed to work… and then working WITH it!

THAT’S what this episode is about… learning how the Fuel System works.

Our guess is that you’ll learn more about this topic from this episode than you ever have from a doctor.

More importantly, you’ll be inspired to make changes that will have a positive impact on your health… and on your life 🙂

Episode 21:1 – How To Lose 67 Pounds… Without Even Trying

On this episode of the Get Healthy Alabama podcast we (Dr. George Burroughs and BetyLou Pierce) sit down with the incredible Anedra Brown to discuss how she's lost 67 pounds… without even trying!

(May take a few seconds to begin playing)

Episode 21:1 - How To Lose 67 Pounds... Without Even Trying

Believe it or not, for many people, the key to losing weight is to NOT try.

Sounds crazy, right?

It’s not.

In fact, it makes a lot of sense… once you understand the secret.

The secret followed by this week’s special guest Anedra Brown.

You see, Anedra never set out to lose weight.

Instead, she simply wanted to “Get Healthy.”

To do what she had to do to get rid of the joint pain and stiffness that caused her to hurt all over… leaving her a prisoner in her own body, unable to enjoy even the simplest activities of life.

This desire to “Get Healthy” led her to make changes in her lifestyle.

Physical changes.

Nutritional changes.

Emotional changes.

Changes that have helped her “Get Healthy.”

And, therein lies the secret.

Remember, Anedra never set out to lose weight.

Instead, her goal was to “Get Healthy” so her joint pain would disappear.

She did… and her joint pain disappeared.

In addition, as a “side-effect”, she dropped 67 pounds.

Yes, 67pounds!!!

NOT by trying to lose weight… but by trying to “Get Healthy.”

Best of all, she’s not done.

Her journey to her best health is still going on… and will, for quite some time.

A journey ANYONE can take.

(Even you!)

Listen to this episode to hear Anedra’s inspiring story.

Then share it with a friend 🙂

Episode 47 – Rebounding From Depression: Suggestions For A Friend

On this episode of the Get Healthy Alabama podcast we (Dr. George Burroughs and BetyLou Pierce) discuss the exact advice we would give to a friend who was trying to transform their life from depressed and unhealthy... to happy and healthy

(May take a few seconds to begin playing)

Episode 47 - Rebounding From Depression: Suggestions For A Friend

"Sometimes the difference between being depressed and being suicidal is simply hearing from people who care."

A friend recently posted that on Facebook.

He's been through a lot the past few years and it's taken its toll.

Fortunately, he has people in his life who care deeply for him... family and friends who are helping carry him through the tough times.

I'm proud that he counts me as one of those friends.

However, to be honest, all I've done is provide the occasional "words of encouragement" and, while I know they are important, I keep asking myself, "what more can I do?"

The answer is actually quite simple:

I need to help my friend the best "I" can.

That is, I need to offer to help him improve his OVERALL health because I know how to do that. Plus, I firmly believe it would do wonders for him both physically AND mentally.

So, on this episode that's exactly what I do.

With the help of BetyLou Pierce, I share the three things I would suggest to my friend to boost his overall health.

Something Physical, something Nutritional, and something Emotional.

"Natural" suggestions that I feel would help bring him, or ANYONE who applies them, to a better place with regard to his physical AND mental health.

Give this episode a good listen and share it with a friend who may need to hear it.

Also...

NOTE - As you listen to this episode, please remember that these recommendations are specific to this one individual. They are NOT a prescription for overcoming depression or any health condition. Please consult your health care provider for all medical care. Also, if you experience depression and/or suicidal thoughts, seek out a mental health care provider immediately.

On this episode of the Get Healthy Alabama podcast we (Dr. George Burroughs and BetyLou Pierce) look at why Christmas is good for your health

(May take a few seconds to begin playing)

Episode 46 - The Christmas Episode!

Without a doubt, Christmas IS the most wonderful time of the year!

The music… the decorations… the kindness in people’s hearts.

All of these make the season magical.

However, there's ONE thing that makes it miraculous:

The birth of Jesus Christ.

Without Him there is no Christmas.

On this week’s episode of the Get Healthy Alabama podcast we talk about the true meaning of Christmas and the positive impact it has on our health.

We discuss how Christmas serves as a reminder that we are NOT “physical beings” having spiritual experiences…

We are “spiritual beings” having a physical experience.

Once we understand this truth - that our true essence is spiritual, not physical - we can appreciate the impact that the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus has on our life... and how this impact opens the door to true healing.

On this episode we also explore…

- The key to being happy and healthy.

- The difference between giving and exchanging.

- How your connection to God will get through the ups and downs of life.

- How God is not mad at you… He’s mad about you.

Give this episode a good listen as it will reach down to the very core of your existence.

Also, allow yourself the opportunity to receive the greatest gift of all this Christmas…

Eternal life through the acceptance of Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

It's the BEST gift ever!

Merry Christmas!
